How does oxygen sensor works
On the engine useing the three-way catalyst to reduce exaust gas, the oxygen sensor is a must-needed device.
Generally, in the engine, the fuel-air ratio have a normal range, in this range, the three-eay catalyst have the function to purify the CO HC. NOX, at this circumstance, oxygen sensor no need to work.
Oxygen sensor works when the fuel-air ratio is not normal,it can sense the concerntration of Oxygen in the exaust gas, then pass the signal to the ECU, then ECU will send signal to control the spray speed of fuel, Pull the fuel-air ratio back to normal.
That is how oxygen sensor works.
